BRAINRUSH, a Thriller by Richard Bard
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Rain man meets the Air Force. Well that's as close as I can come with out giving it away.
A very well paced book, exciting, on the edge of your seat book! Well done Richard, I enjoyed this very much.

Tanaka and the Yakuza's Daughter by CJ Martin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A fast paced look into the Japanese mafia. Well written and clever! The main character is believable, with good solid supporting characters. This short story is a good lead in to a multiple volume set!

A Dance of Death by David Dalglish
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Welcome to book three in "The Shadowdance Trilogy". One of the best series from David Dalglish. A great look into the life of Haern, The "Watcher of Veldaren". The brutal death of a Lord, by the hand of his wife Madelyn. Justice is handed to Madelyn by her head guard Torgar and made to look as if the "Wraith" had killed another.
I love how the author attempt's to killed off the most beautiful skilled killer Zusa, only to have her survive. I do hope she returns in future books! This volume kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
It was a very hard book to put down. If you've followed the series you need to read this one, if not you need to read the series you will not be disappointed. unless you can't read!
On a parting note I'll leave you with this quote, "Torgar's sword was across the room, atop his dresser. He had no chance of reaching it in time. "Ah, fuck me," he said as the arrow flew."

Jacob T. Marley by R. William Bennett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Wow! Excellent spin on a Classic. Look out Dickens, Marley is here and alive! I enjoyed the look at Jacob Marley, the tie in to the classic is wonderful. If we combine the two books it would make the already timeless piece the novel of the year. Why was Marley evil? Who was Jacob T. Marley? Why was he permitted to visit Scrooge? What was the reason Scrooge got a chance to change and not Marley? All these questions are answered in this soon to be classic!
The death of Jacob T. Marley was not the end of his life, But rather a beginning to the answers left by the story of Scrooge. All this just in time for the Christmas Season.
This book was provided to me by NetGalley and in no way effected my opinion!

THE HALLOWEEN COLLECTION FROM THE INDIE ECLECTIVE by M. Edward McNally
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
What a great book for Halloween! A nice collection of short stories with the perfect touch of horror and suspense, for the Halloween season. Monsters with one red eye, will transform you if bitten. But an old magic might be able to fix your problem. I better stop now before I give away to much. This book was written by a good group of Indie Writers, a must read for Halloween.

Megan's Way by Melissa Foster
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A good book to read for me! Not my normal read. I will not spoil the book for you, by telling you every detail. Let me just say a fortune teller and two giddy girls a mom with a medical past equals good book.
